Condor Energy Storage Project: Powering 150,000 California Homes with Clean Energy

Arevon Energy Inc., a prominent player in the renewable energy sector, recently celebrated the completion and commencement of operations at its Condor Energy Storage Project.

Situated in San Bernardino County, California, this project is a significant milestone for clean energy in the state.

The Condor Energy Storage Project boasts a capacity of 200 MW/800 MWh, capable of powering approximately 150,000 homes for up to four hours during periods of peak electricity demand.

Moreover, it is expected to contribute an estimated $25 million in property tax payments throughout its operational life, supporting the county and local school district.

A ribbon-cutting event was held to mark this achievement, with project stakeholders and community members in attendance.

This event served as a celebration not only of the project’s completion but also of the community’s support in helping San Bernardino County realize its Climate Action Plan goals.

Several dignitaries, including Arevon CEO Kevin Smith, Mayor Bill Hussey of Grand Terrace, Council Member Jeff Allen of Grand Terrace, David Lincoln, Senior Vice President at Rosendin Electric, Inc., and Charles Neighbours, Principal at Grand Terrace High School, delivered remarks at the event.

Kevin Smith, CEO of Arevon, highlighted the project’s significance, stating, “The Condor Energy Storage Project signifies our ongoing commitment to energy storage technologies and to advancing clean, renewable energy across the nation.”

He emphasized the crucial role of battery storage in ensuring grid reliability and facilitating the further adoption of renewable energy as California strives to achieve its sustainability goals.
