14th Africa PPP Summit in Casablanca to Address Infrastructure Investment Gaps

Key players in the African public-private partnership (PPP) sector will convene in Morocco this October for the 14th African PPP Summit, to be held from October 22nd to 24th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Casablanca.

This comes as the country prepares to co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, with billions of dollars in infrastructure projects planned.

Organized by AMETrade Ltd, Africa PPP is the longest-running annual infrastructure investment and development event focused on Africa and the effective utilization of PPPs and private sector investment to finance, build, operate, and maintain the continent’s vital infrastructure.

Africa faces a significant infrastructure development deficit, with an estimated annual funding gap exceeding $100 billion.

Africa PPP offers solutions by bringing together key public and private sector stakeholders from across Africa and beyond, fostering qualified business relationships between decision-makers and industry negotiators to develop innovative models for infrastructure financing and development partnerships in sectors that drive economic growth, such as energy, transportation, and water, among others.

This year’s theme, “Scaling up PPPs to address Infrastructure Investment Gaps,” underscores the crucial role of public-private partnerships (PPPs) and private sector participation in African infrastructure development as a solution to bridge the continent’s multi-billion dollar annual infrastructure development funding gap.

The 14th edition will specifically aim to intensify infrastructure construction by showcasing bankable African PPPs and mega infrastructure projects, with a focus on connecting project owners/developers with investors and contractors to accelerate the reduction of the funding gap and help resolve Africa’s infrastructure challenges.

Africa PPP 2024 will feature presentations on specific projects in the renewable energy, water, transportation, power transmission, and digital technologies sectors, as well as major cross-border projects.

This provides infrastructure investors and financiers with a unique window into billions of dollars of investment opportunities in the most attractive African infrastructure projects.

The 14th African PPP Summit is not merely an event; it is a catalyst for change in Africa’s development landscape. With resounding success and a commitment to excellence, it empowers the continent and reshapes the future of PPPs while attracting investments for sustainable and climate-resilient expansion.
