Larport Solar Farm: A Key Driver for BNP Paribas’ Net-Zero Strategy

Conrad Energy’s Larport Solar Farm in Herefordshire is now operational, marking a significant step forward in the UK’s energy transition.

This facility will generate 40,000 MWh of renewable electricity annually, enough to power approximately 11,000 homes.

The launch of this project was celebrated with key partners, including BNP Paribas and Ethical Power, along with local community representatives.

Steven Hardman, CEO of Conrad Energy, emphasized the project’s importance in supporting BNP Paribas’ net-zero ambitions. As a founding member of the Net-Zero Banking Alliance, BNP Paribas will utilize this clean energy to decarbonize its UK operations, saving an estimated 375,000 tons of carbon over 40 years.

Emmanuelle Bury, UK Country Head of BNP Paribas, affirmed the bank’s commitment to financing the energy transition and living its values through this collaboration with Conrad Energy.
