Hydro-Québec Unveils Dialogue Results and Commitments for Action Plan 2035

Hydro-Québec has released the results of its recent dialogue initiative, which sought public input to refine and enhance its Action Plan 2035.

The extensive discussions, involving over 16,000 participants, demonstrated a keen interest among Quebecers in shaping the province’s energy future.

Key Themes and Commitments

Based on the feedback received, Hydro-Québec has identified key themes and outlined over 40 commitments to address concerns and aspirations raised during the dialogue. These commitments encompass various aspects, including:

  • Transparency and Predictability: Enhancing communication and providing clear information on projects and their impacts.
  • Service Quality: Maintaining a high standard of service reliability and responsiveness.

  • Environmental Leadership: Prioritizing sustainability and minimizing the environmental impact of energy production.

Hydro-Québec engaged with a wide range of stakeholders through various channels, including public consultations, regional meetings, and discussions with Indigenous communities, environmental groups, consumer associations, energy experts, and unions.
