Kolkata Port Tenders 2 MW Solar Project at Haldia Dock | Renewable Energy

The Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port in Kolkata has issued a tender inviting bids for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 2 MW (AC) solar photovoltaic grid-interactive power plant.

The project will be executed under the EPC model, encompassing comprehensive operation and maintenance for ten years at the Haldia Dock Complex.

The estimated project value is ₹16,81,77,715. Interested bidders must ensure their bid validity for 180 days and commit to completing the project within 420 days. The bid submission deadline is July 30, 2024, at 3:00 PM, with bid opening scheduled for July 31, 2024, at 3:30 PM.

An earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹26,81,777 is required from prospective bidders, payable to the Haldia Dock Complex. Additionally, the successful bidder must furnish a security deposit or performance guarantee equivalent to 10% of the contract value (excluding GST).

This guarantee will be retained until project completion and throughout the defect liability period (DLP) or comprehensive operation and maintenance contract (COMC) period of 120 months.

The solar power plant is expected to have an operational life of 25 years. Key performance indicators include a minimum performance ratio (PR) of 0.75 and a minimum guaranteed net generation of 28,00,000 kWh annually, with a capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 16.00%.

This project signifies a crucial advancement in sustainable energy adoption at the Haldia Dock Complex. It aligns with broader renewable energy objectives, enhancing the port’s energy efficiency and sustainability profile.
