MET Group has acquired 100% of a German project company from ToRa GmbH, a renowned solar and wind project developer in the country.
The joint venture will focus on developing a photovoltaic (PV) plant with an anticipated capacity of 62 MWp, coupled with a 60 MW / 240 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). This integrated project is strategically located in Saxony, Germany, where the potential for renewable energy generation is substantial.
Collaboration for Renewable Energy Expansion
ToRa GmbH, recognized for its expertise in developing and managing PV and wind assets in Germany, will collaborate with MET Group throughout the entire project development cycle. This partnership leverages the strengths of both companies to ensure the successful implementation of this landmark renewable energy initiative.

Unique Project Features
MET Group secured land in Groß Düben for the project late last year, which offers potential for further renewable project development in the Lausitz region. Tomke Heinen, CEO of ToRa GmbH, highlighted the project’s unique aspects, including the integration of grid connection and battery storage, along with significant expansion potential.
The project also enjoys strong support from the municipality of Groß Düben and landowners, who have expressed confidence in MET as a partner.
