Nordex Group Secures Impressive 3.4 GW Order Intake in First Half of 2024

In the first half of 2024 (1H24), the Nordex Group secured orders for 3357 MW of capacity in its Projects segment (excluding service business).

This represents a 27% increase compared to the same period in the previous year (1H23: 2,641 MW). Notably, 1271 MW were booked in the second quarter of 2024 (Q2/2023: 1620 MW).

The average sales price per MW of capacity (ASP) remained consistent at €0.89 million/MW in the first half of this year (2Q24 €0.96), mirroring the ASP in 1H23 (2Q23 €0.89).

Between January and June 2024, customers placed orders for a total of 602 wind turbines across 17 countries. The strongest individual markets included Germany, South Africa, Lithuania, and Turkey.

“We are delighted with our order intake in the first half of the year and our ability to maintain stable pricing,” said José Luis Blanco, CEO of Nordex Group.

“In particular, the strong demand for our N163 turbines, both in Europe and globally, reinforces our confidence in our order intake projections for the remainder of the year.”
