Rovco Joins Forces with Offshore Wind O&M Partnership

Rovco, a prominent UK-based provider of technology-driven offshore wind solutions, has joined the Offshore Wind Operation and Maintenance Partnership (OWOP). T

his strategic alliance aims to strengthen Rovco’s capacity to deliver comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services to offshore wind asset owners globally.

Rovco leads in developing and deploying advanced technologies for offshore wind services, particularly in the subsea domain.

This expertise makes Rovco a valuable addition to OWOP, further solidifying its position as a Tier 1 contractor for offshore wind asset owners.

Rovco’s services encompass O&M, construction support, and marine site characterization, utilizing automated hydrographic surveys and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) operations.

Established in the UK, OWOP was officially launched in early 2024. The partnership’s strength lies in its coordinated and agile approach to delivering safe and high-quality O&M services.

By consolidating various services under a single contract, OWOP reduces the complexities and resource demands often associated with subcontracting.

Offshore wind asset owners gain access to a comprehensive suite of services, including turbine, blade, substation, and balance of plant O&M, as well as workboats, digital tools, and now, with Rovco’s inclusion, extensive subsea O&M capabilities.

Additionally, the partnership leverages RES’s world-class centralized wind O&M coordination expertise to minimize downtime and optimize asset performance.

Simon Deacon, Operations and Maintenance Director for RES, expressed enthusiasm about Rovco joining the alliance.

He highlighted that OWOP’s core principle is to alleviate the operational challenges faced by wind asset owners in managing O&M services.

Since its inception, OWOP has actively sought to incorporate subsea inspection services into its offerings. With Rovco’s undisputed leadership in this field, the partnership will deliver unparalleled subsea inspection capabilities to the offshore wind industry.
