US-based Splitwaters, specializing in advanced electrolyzers and balance of plant (BOP) equipment for green hydrogen production, has joined forces with India-based Oriana Power, a key player in renewable energy, to establish green hydrogen and e-fuel facilities in India.
The agreement encompasses the development of green ammonia, e-methanol, and green methanol.
Roles and Responsibilities in the Partnership
Under this collaboration, Oriana Power will take charge of business development and project execution within the Indian market.
The company will provide electrolyzers and other necessary equipment for green hydrogen projects, along with comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services to clients in India.
The alkaline electrolyzer and related equipment will utilize Splitwaters’ innovative technology and modular approach.
Cost-Effective and Efficient Solutions
This integrated solution aims to significantly reduce the capital expenditure (CAPEX) of green hydrogen and e-fuel projects by up to 30%, making these sustainable energy alternatives more economically viable and accessible.
Extending the Collaboration Beyond India
Oriana Power will also support Splitwaters’ green hydrogen and e-fuel endeavors outside of India by leveraging its expertise and market reach. Initially, Splitwaters will supply electrolyzers and BOP equipment from the United States while both companies collaborate to establish a manufacturing facility for electrolyzer and BOP modules in India.
Demonstration Unit and Industry Impact
Furthermore, Oriana Power plans to set up a working demonstration green hydrogen production unit in India. This initiative will allow developers, investors, and industry stakeholders to witness the equipment, workmanship, and the green hydrogen production process firsthand.
