Unconventional Solutions for Complex Challenges:
The Sulmara team utilized a combination of a dedicated survey vessel, a large unmanned surface vessel (USV), and a smaller nearshore USV. This innovative approach, the first of its kind in Taiwan, allowed for seamless data acquisition from offshore to landfall, overcoming the limitations of traditional methods.
James Hope, Sulmara’s Regional Director for the Eastern Hemisphere, praised the team’s collaborative work with SRE and the National Taiwan University.
