Survitec HeliPPE Secures Long-Term PPE Rental Deal with Swire Renewable Energy

Survitec HeliPPE, a prominent brand under the global survival technology leader Survitec, has successfully landed a multi-year personal protective equipment (PPE) contract with Swire Renewable Energy, a renowned service provider in the wind industry.

This collaboration is poised to bolster Swire’s offshore operations across Europe, underlining their dedication to the health and safety of their technicians.

Under this new arrangement, Swire technicians will be outfitted with a harness and the Hansen Protection Seabreeze suit, a one-hour constant wear work suit that is both SOLAS and ISO-certified, designed for challenging environments.

Technicians will also be provided with the Crewsaver ErgoFit SOLAS lifejacket, which is tailored for the offshore wind sector, facilitating safe vessel transfers and working at heights on turbines. The ErgoFit SOLAS lifejacket is an ergonomic, constant-wear solution offering exceptional in-water protection, featuring a rapid-rotating inflation bladder and the EXOLOK cylinder retention system.

Mads Enemark Nørgreen, CEO of Survitec HeliPPE, stated: “This contract signifies a crucial achievement for Survitec HeliPPE, showcasing our capability to deliver comprehensive offshore wind PPE solutions.

“We have a robust logistics network ready to meet the contract’s demands. Our asset management portal and app were pivotal in Swire Renewable Energy’s decision to select Survitec HeliPPE as their reliable PPE provider. This, along with our top-tier products, comprehensive service flexibility, and prompt response times, differentiates us in the market.”

Jørn Steffensen, Procurement & Fleet Specialist at Swire Renewable Energy, commented: “The ease of access to high-quality, fully serviced PPE, combined with the capability to track and manage our requirements and certifications for both project managers and technicians, was essential in our choice of Survitec HeliPPE.

This agreement guarantees our technicians the best safety equipment, offering us a strategic edge in scalability to meet our PPE needs flexibly and conveniently as they arise.”

Through an all-inclusive subscription model, Swire Renewable Energy will gain from an integrated ‘one-stop-shop’ solution, strategically enhancing its PPE asset management.

Swire coordinators will benefit from streamlined project management via the Survitec HeliPPE system, allowing efficient oversight of technicians, certifications, and orders. Additionally, technicians will have access to the Survitec HeliPPE app, providing seamless viewing of their orders and certifications, optimizing operational efficiency, and delivering a reliable service.

Subscription-based models have transformed numerous industries, granting end users greater control and convenience. Now, this model extends to PPE, offering state-of-the-art equipment as needed.

Adapting PPE requirements becomes straightforward with a subscription-based model, presenting multiple advantages to the offshore industry. This approach minimizes downtime by ensuring technicians and crew always have readily available, serviced PPE and necessary documentation. The ability to scale supply up or down without delays further enhances operational efficiency.

This model is especially crucial for wind energy companies, ensuring safe operations in harsh climates without the need to manage, warehouse, or finance PPE independently.
