Technique Solaire Accelerates Expansion with 58MW of New Solar Projects

Technique Solaire, a major player in the renewable energy sector, is expanding its presence in Europe by adding 58 MWp to its project development pipeline in the Netherlands and Spain.

These strategic acquisitions aim to solidify the group’s position in these key markets and increase its production capacity.

In the Netherlands, Technique Solaire has recently acquired two “ready-to-build” photovoltaic projects in the province of Gelderland, totaling 26 MWp.

These projects, located in Beuningen (15 MWp) and Druten (11 MWp), significantly strengthen the group’s installed capacity in the region. Construction of the Beuningen plant began in the first quarter of 2024, marking a flagship project for Technique Solaire in Europe.

Additionally, the commissioning of the group’s first floating solar photovoltaic plant in Limburg, at BillyBird Park Drakenrijk, adds a further 7 MWp of capacity. This installation, covering 4.3 hectares of water, will produce 6.4 GWh of electricity annually, further expanding Technique Solaire’s footprint in the Netherlands.

In Spain, Technique Solaire has finalized the acquisition of eight “ready-to-build” photovoltaic projects in the Aragon region, totaling 32 MWp.

The commissioning of these plants is scheduled for early 2025, complementing the group’s existing portfolio of photovoltaic projects under development in the country, equivalent to 400 MWp. To lead this expansion, Ignacio Rebollo has been appointed Country Director.

With over 20 years of experience in the Iberian energy sector, he will oversee the development and expansion of Technique Solaire’s activities in Spain, strengthening the group’s competitive position in this key market.

The new acquisitions will enable Technique Solaire to increase its total installed capacity and strengthen its presence in Europe.

With a presence in the Netherlands since 2018 and in Spain since 2022, the group aims to achieve a capacity of over 700 MWp in these countries by 2030, mobilizing significant investments of 578 million euros.

These initiatives are part of Technique Solaire’s overall strategy to reach 4 GWp of installed capacity by 2030, consolidating its position as a leader in the renewable energy market.

With these developments, Technique Solaire continues to affirm its dynamic growth strategy and strengthen its position in the European solar energy market, while increasing its production capacity to meet growing demand.
