Trinasolar’s High-Efficiency Solar Solution Powers Colombian Power Plant

Trinasolar, a leading provider of photovoltaic (PV) inverters and energy storage systems, has successfully installed a 23MW power station in Baranoa, Atlántico, Colombia.

This project features the company’s state-of-the-art Vertex N 720W series modules and Vanguard 1P trackers.

Upon completion, the plant is expected to generate approximately 43 million kWh of clean energy annually, benefiting roughly 25,000 households.

The project site boasts abundant sunlight, receiving up to 12 hours of sunshine daily.

The area also benefits from a high solar radiation of 1,981 kWh/m2 per year, making it a prime location for harnessing solar power.

Cao Yunduan, Trinasolar’s Head of Branding and Marketing, stated: “Trinasolar is the sole solar module manufacturer offering an integrated solution of smart trackers and energy storage.

The combination of 210mm modules and trackers maximizes energy production even in challenging conditions like low light, overcast skies, and difficult terrain.

We are pleased with the widespread adoption of this solution in various countries across the Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and Europe, where it has become immensely popular with global customers.”

Trinasolar’s Vertex N 720W series modules offer numerous advantages, including ultra-low degradation, low voltage, and high string power.

These modules deliver high energy yield, efficiency, reliability, and performance while maintaining a low Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE).

They are recognized as industry leaders for ground-mounted power stations. Earlier assessments have shown that the Vertex N 720W series modules can reduce LCOE by 1.79% compared to 182-72 reference modules.

Notably, the proprietary 210mm n-type i-TOPCon module achieved a peak power output of 740.6W in April, establishing a new world record.

Trinasolar’s Vanguard 1P tracker is specifically designed for PV projects on flat terrain.

It boasts exceptional stability and adaptability in challenging wind conditions, thanks to its development through wind tunnel tests, CFD technology, and extensive design refinement.

The tracker features spherical bearings, the Trina Clamp, and a reduced pile foundation. This design enhances reliability, increases energy yield, and reduces project investment costs.

Withstanding loads over 2,400 Pa, it is perfectly compatible with the Vertex N 700W+ module.

The integration of Vertex N 720W series modules and Vanguard 1P trackers enables the construction of high-quality power stations, providing local users with enhanced efficiency and reliability.

With 27 years of experience in the PV industry, Trinasolar is dedicated to maximizing customer value through exceptional products and superior services.

Trinasolar will continue to lead the industry with its cutting-edge technology, driving sustainable development efforts and facilitating the global shift to clean energy.
