Vestas has been awarded a contract for an undisclosed wind energy project in Argentina. The order encompasses the supply and installation of 21 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines, contributing to the country’s expanding renewable energy capacity.
Long-Term Service Agreement
Upon completion of the project, Vestas will also provide a 30-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement. This comprehensive service aims to optimize energy production and ensure long-term business case certainty for the wind farm’s operations.
Delivery and Commissioning Timeline
The delivery of the wind turbines is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2025 (2Q25), with the commissioning process anticipated to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2025 (4Q25).

Vestas holds a pioneering position in Argentina’s wind energy market, having installed the country’s first commercial wind turbine in Comodoro Rivadavia back in 1994. This latest order further solidifies Vestas’ commitment to supporting Argentina’s transition to renewable energy sources.
