Vestas Wins 45 MW Wind Turbine Order in Türkiye | Renewable Energy Growth

Vestas, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, has been awarded a 45 MW order in Türkiye.

The contract encompasses the supply and installation of 10 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines, along with a comprehensive 15-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) service agreement to optimize performance and energy production.

Levent Ishak, Vestas’ Head of Türkiye, expressed confidence in the company’s role in the country’s energy transition. “We are certain that the reliability and adaptability of our wind turbine portfolio will continue to be instrumental in Türkiye’s shift towards renewable energy sources,” Ishak stated.

The delivery of the wind turbines is slated for the first half of 2025, with commissioning anticipated in the second half of the same year. This timeline aligns with Türkiye’s ambitious renewable energy targets and its commitment to reducing carbon emissions.

Vestas has a rich history in Türkiye, having installed the country’s first wind turbine back in 1984. Since then, the company has contributed over 2 GW of wind energy capacity to the nation’s power grid, solidifying its position as a key player in the Turkish renewable energy landscape.

This latest order underscores Vestas’ ongoing commitment to supporting Türkiye’s transition towards a more sustainable energy future. The 45 MW project will not only increase the country’s renewable energy capacity but also contribute to its efforts to combat climate change.
