Vestas Secures 49 MW Wind Energy Project in Germany

Vestas, a leading wind turbine manufacturer, has been awarded a 49 MW order from WindBauer GmbH. The project, known as Bartow Pfalz, is located in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania region of Germany.

Under this agreement, Vestas will supply a combination of six V162-7.2 MW turbines and one V150-6.0 MW turbine. The scope of the order includes the full range of services, from supply and delivery to the commissioning of the turbines.

To ensure the long-term optimal performance of the wind turbines, Vestas will also provide a comprehensive service agreement upon completion of the project.

This agreement aims to maximize the efficiency and output of the wind energy assets.

Sulai Fahimi, Vice President Sales Central for Vestas Northern & Central Europe, expressed delight in the partnership with WindBauer GmbH and the opportunity to contribute to Germany’s energy transition.

“We are delighted to have been selected to supply our EnVentus turbines for the Bartow Pfalz project, to continue the collaboration with WindBauer, and to support with accelerating the energy transition in Germany,” said Fahimi. He also thanked WindBauer for their trust in Vestas’ technology and service capabilities.

Martin Niedzwetzki, a representative of WindBauer GmbH, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the significance of the Bartow Pfalz project for both the region and the company.
