Nexergy and Lorentz join forces to produce green hydrogen

Nexergy Holdings PLC, a leading company dedicated to improving sustainable energy solutions, has announced its strategic collaboration with Lorentz, a pioneer in the production of green hydrogen.

This partnership signifies a crucial advancement in the sustainable energy sector and addresses the growing demand for environmentally friendly fuel sources.

Green hydrogen production will begin in 2024, potentially transforming energy and transportation.

Jason Turner, Managing Director of Nexergy, stated, “Green hydrogen is an extremely efficient and eco-friendly fuel, using water and solar energy to power vehicles and industries. Through this collaboration, we aim to harness Lorentz’s innovative technology to commercialize green hydrogen, positioning it as a viable alternative to conventional fuel sources.”

Moreover, the partnership aims to ensure seamless integration into existing infrastructure, facilitating broad access to this innovative energy solution.

The potential applications of green hydrogen extend across multiple industries, gaining support from key players such as Airbus, BMW, and JCB.

Airbus representatives have expressed confidence in hydrogen as a vital technology for achieving low-carbon commercial aviation by 2035, underscoring its importance for the aerospace industry. Additionally, BMW’s Chairman of the Board of Management, Oliver Zipse, emphasized the crucial role of hydrogen in enabling emission-free mobility on a global scale.

Lorentz’s patented technology, with an initial project site planned in Spain, is set to revolutionize sustainable hydrogen production, leading the way for decarbonization in the energy sector and beyond. By leveraging renewable sources like wind and solar, the process employed by Lorentz promises to significantly reduce carbon emissions, offering an attractive solution for a greener energy transition.
