Nordex Group Wins 123.9 MW Wind Turbine Order in Spain from Aquila Clean Energy

The Nordex Group has secured an order from Aquila Clean Energy for a 123.9 MW wind project in Spain.

Starting in the summer of 2025, the company will supply and install 21 N163/5.X turbines for the Baza cluster located in the province of Granada in southern Spain.

The contract includes a 20-year Premium Service agreement for the turbines, ensuring optimal maintenance and performance. Additionally, Aquila Clean Energy has the option to expand the order by up to 24 additional turbines, a decision to be made by August 31, 2024.

The Baza cluster comprises eight sites spread between the cities of Granada and Almeria in Andalusia. The Nordex Group will install Delta4000 series turbines on 108-meter-high tubular steel towers across these locations. The entire wind farm cluster is expected to be fully operational by 2026.
